These consist of an LED with a current-limiting resistor soldered in series, to make them compatible with connecting directly to a 12v supply.

The LED/resistor of your chosen colour are mounted on a plastic body which screws into your chosen switch "sign" - be that fan/fog/indicator etc.

Of the seven I ordered, one didn't work. But I was able to dismantle the LED/resistor part by pushing the wires back into the body, and found that the solder joint was not connected, so this was fixable.

However, each leg of the LED has a short section of shrink-wrap sleeve in place that had not been shrunk. This was also easy to fix.

Based on this, I checked all the other LEDs and found that the heat shrink in every one had not been shrunk, so they were all more vulnerable to vibration damage.

Having fixed everything I'm now pleased with the way they look and work.
