Heatmat is a ceramic fibre cloth with a vacuum-transferred aluminium foil coating on one side.

It has excellent heat reflection properties and will withstand temperatures up to 800° C.

Heatmat can be easily cut with scissors and glued to GRP or aluminium panels.

It is best suited to flat, two dimensional, surfaces but will form over slight curves and can be neatly finished or butted edge-to-edge with our Aluminium Tape #ALITP.

Can also be wrapped around wiring looms and starter motors that run near hot exhausts, and it looks great!

We sell by the metre from a 1 metre wide roll.

1.5mm thick.

Good and strong glass fibre backing but the ally coating is a little frail and will rub off in places if abraded or 'caught' with a sharp part. easy to cut and place, but does need high temp contact adhesive, as recommended by CBS.

This is more flexible than expected, but do follow the CBS recommendations.  Hopefully it will keep the occupants of my trackday car cooler!

A must have in every garage : could be used to protect an area while soldering/welding, perfect to protect some parts/area of the engine bay from the header heat. Easy to cut and form.

This product is great, easily glued in place using the recommended adhesive looks tidy and reduced all temperature outside of the bonnet. Superb!

'Does what it says on the tin'.  I've had to deal with a very compact engine bay, suffering from carburettor overheating after running (ram air cooled in use).  I've used heatmat on the heat shields closest to the manifolds and embossed alloy sheet as additional heat shields around the carb.  This has reduced post-run heat soak to insignifigance.  Heatrmat stuck on with high temp. adhesive as recommended
