Lead Foam Sandwich 1M x 300mm

LEAD / FOAM SANDWICH. Whilst our 'SOUNDMAT' panels are effective dampers of panel vibration there is absolutely no substitute for good old LEAD as an effective sound 'barrier'. We sold a similar product many years ago until it became too expensive but we've now found a new supplier and it's even better than before.

At it's core is a 0.5mm thick sheet of pure lead weighing in at 5kg per square metre. Bonded to each side of the lead is a 6mm thick sheet of dense foam forming a sandwich. On one side of the sandwich is a sheet of adhesive with a peel-off backing and on the other side is a bonded layer of very tough, foil-faced glass cloth. The whole laminate is approximately 13mm thick. It's easy to cut with strong scissors and will form around corners and curves.

So, if adding a few pounds in weight is not is not an issue and you want to really quieten down your cockpit for a more civilised ride then this stuff could be your best investment. We will ship this product flat and carefully wrapped with cardboard and batton to minimise transit damage.
